MSU x PLAYGROUND 2.0

Creating a place on the Michigan State University campus that can demonstrate and test solutions for the 21st century problems.

Challenges of future

The environment changes people, and we should design it very carefully.

In 50-100 years, we are likely out of gas. We use renewable energy in a regular basis. The world population is projected to reach 9.7 billion in 2050 and 11.2 billion in 2100. The climate is changing more unexpectedly. People are more isolated physically because of technologies that take away the reality around us. But they are more connected in the global scale across the barrier of space and time. In education, we have more online courses and new ways of learning, we are not limited to the physical campus but collaborate more globally.

I believe that our campus center is in need of a change.
