Lessons learned

This class has been a challenge for me. As the last studio of our program, the professor did not give us a fixed goal but made this class exploratory. The process was slow in the beginning and it took us a lot of time to even know what site we should work on. By finding our way and defining the problem by ourselves, we were able to get closer to the real world from school.

By taking risks and throw ourselves into the pool, we learned to swim quickly. I leaned a lot from this process, both from the instructor and my peers. I also developed new technical skills. I learned new programs such as Rhinoceros and Lumion 3D and creating websites just like the one you are seeing right now.

I understand the limitations of this project. We learned to solve problems, but we don't always succeed in the end. There are some things that work, some are not working at all. I’m not able to solve all problems, even to create a new plan for our campus. We have the whole campus community as well as others to plan, design, construct, use and maintain our environment.

But my goal is to generate some thoughts and materials for us to discuss the future of our campus, instead of giving a solution. The existence of the material online is also helping me to achieve this goal.
